What do you need help with?
As a licensed psychologist, I work with teenagers and adults who struggle with issues related to health and eating, anxiety and stress, and depression and self-esteem. I use cognitive behavioral treatments (CBT) to help people balance eating and weight, manage anxiety and stress, and rise above depression and low self-esteem to achieve a healthier and more satisfying approach to life.
BALANCing EATING & WEIGHT
- Do you struggle with maintaining healthy eating patterns?
- Do you feel as though food and your weight rule your life?
- Do you eat when you are stressed out, worried, bored, lonely?
- Is food like a friend or companion you rely on to help you get through hard times?
- On the other hand, do you view food as “the enemy” and something to avoid or restrict?
MANAGing ANXIETY & STRESS
- Do you constantly worry about your finances, health, family?
- Are you afraid to meet new people or be in unfamiliar situations?
- Are you overwhelmed with stress at work and/or at home?
- Do you experience physical symptoms (such as pounding heart, muscle tension, sweating, dizziness) when you are anxious or stressed?
RISing ABOVE DEPRESSION & Low SELF-ESTEEM
- Do you feel sad, down, or depressed?
- Do you feel unmotivated or powerless to change your circumstances?
- Are you frequently criticizing or blaming yourself?
- Do you have trouble saying “No” to people?
